Note #005
Whew! It's Gone.
Where did it go? Thanksgiving flew by. Then there was the rush to get ready for Christmas. Christmas came and went in a storm, literally for us on the eastern slope of the Sierras. And figuratively as well, a storm of wrapping paper and ribbons, candy cane and sugar cookies, and ham dinner that lasted a blissfully long time. A beautiful storm of family visits and reconnecting with dear friends. And then the peace that comes after the torrent subsides.
And now it's gone. All of 2015. G. O. N. E. Gone.
It was a good year, 2015, with many wonderful events and moments. The birth of YOUTH Positive was big and exciting. It was so fulfilling to see it become real and move out to the world, into schools and youth leadership training programs and homes where teenagers live and breathe and interact with their families. Every new online order or school that said "Yes." was so thrilling. And it still is.
And now, 2016 is upon us, fresh as the new fallen snow (which we're getting a lot of this year in the west. Yay!).
My wish for you in this new year is that whatever creative power is in you, big or small, that it bears abundant fruit, that you create the life of your dreams. I hope that your creative fire burns hot enough, and powerfully enough, to burn away those obstacles that prevent you from seeing that you are just right, just as you are.
May you be free of the obstacles to loving yourself and honoring the process of who you are at this moment. May you never be separated from happiness and its causes. May you be sweetly satisfied and content in 2016.
